Okay, okay... that doesn't really get you caught up with how we ended 2011, but we had a great time having Christmas with Brad and Amy (and family) and Brian and Molly (and family)! It seemed to all rush by and we can't wait to visit again. I some how didn't have any pics of Tyler, Emily, Jason, Zac, Logan, or Hayden?? I do love spending time with those crazy kids too, but someone else must have captured all the fun with their camera... (if that is you, send me a copy)

I'm a big fan of apple products, and with Steve Jobs passing I feel like this device is probably one of the best inventions of the century... but I still can't decide... should I just keep my blackberry status (low as it may be) or do I try out being a hipster and go all iphone?
1. How hard is it to get used to that little touchscreen? I like pushing actual buttons when I text and email (like the blackberry has)
2. I already have an ipod touch, so if I get an iphone, what the H am I supposed to do with the ipod? (hello Christmas gifts for nieces and nephews?? uhhh, NO)
3. What size is best? Do I get the 16 and deal with it, 32 and use it like my ipod, splurge for 64?? How much memory do you really need??? (and I hate the whole.. it depends how you use it... I want to know, on average, what do most people need)

Anyway, this is my dilemma these days.... its just keeping me up at night (said in a stressed out motherly tone)... or it could be those episodes of Jimmy Fallon I find so amusing! Now I feel so much better, getting that off my chest... discuss.

So, over last weekend it was National Parks Day or something so we ventured out to Red Rock and thought we'd take a look at what the big fuss is about hiking! Well, we didn't venture too far out and followed the trail (for the most part, curse those stickers that are still stuck into my shoes). Hailyn and Erika joined our little adventure and made the time pass so quickly. We had a good time and celebrated at Cafe Rio after conquering the hiking adventure of Red Rock! Our hiking adventure = our walking in dirt adventure ;)

yeah, I think I did get sunburned... curse my pasty, over-sensative skin (and the sun)!

Remember when I first started this blog and I would post things weekly, like totally keeping you up to date and informed about how awesome my life was! Oh, you don't remember that...weird! Well, I'm going to post our labor day events even though the time has since passed and it is totally inappropriate to do so (don't check the blog etiquette-- I'm almost positive I've broken every rule)

We had such a good time hanging out with Brian & Molly (and their super cute/excitable/hilarious children)
We were able to watch Zac in action as he conquered the football field.... can you believe he is old enough to suit up and knock other kids down? I know, where does the time go....
Bailee was by far the best entertainment! That girl is the cutest! She rode with us and we had girl bonding time as we taught her a girl can never wear enough blue eye shadow! She even told us she is coming to visit and would announce it by shouting "Ashley's House" (with her hands cupped around her lips so everyone could hear it). Hopefully next visit we can work on the difference between Kallee and Ashley, but right now, we are both referred to as Ashley.... I'll take what I can get :)

We had a great time hanging out and relaxing and hope we can go back soon!

It always goes by too quickly, as did our time in Cancun! But, I'm not kidding when I tell you that is was probably the best vacation we ever went on. We had time to do nothing and lay out in the sun and read, and got to explore some new and exciting places, and even had a little time to enjoy the spa... loved it!

but my parents are kind of a big deal. This past weekend they were honored as "2011 Kimberly's Good Neighbor". It only took living in Kimberly, Idaho 30+ years for the town to figure out what I already know... They are AWESOME!

I heard the award came as a complete shock to both of them. I wish I could have seen their faces when their names were called while at dinner @ the park. Not easy to pull a surprise on my Dad! ;) Plus they got to ride in the Kimberly Good Neighbor Days Parade...lucky!

So CONGRATS Mom & Dad!

PS to top the weekend off my Dad was quoted in the Times News as the LDS employment specialist. He may have had 3 or 4 lines (and 2 quotes from him) used in the article. Side note- my parents have been called to serve a mission at the LDS employment center in Twin Falls, hence how my dad become the known "expert".

It seems like every movie coming out is either a sequel or a remake... are we running out of ideas Hollywood? Anyway, I guess the economy isn't the only thing taking a hard hit in America :)
Well, I just came across this gem today, and I don't really know how I feel about the remake of this epic movie! I mean, I don't know if I can watch Footloose if it doesn't include Kevin Bacon... I live for lines like:

In honor of Father's Day, I thought I would post this tribute from Jimmy Fallon. I must say that I have a wonderful father and should have tweeted a couple items my own father does:
1. never deletes an email for fear he might need it later-- will print out said emails yet cannot recall getting any messages.. this is also true for actual mail...
2. always has a smile
3. rubs his head when he laughs
4. apparently is collecting screwdrivers (there is no other reason why someone would have so many)
5. is a self professed "handy man"
6. can never find something when he is looking for it, and blames it on "those darn kids"
7. wears socks with sandals
8. his "shortcut" always takes 10 minutes longer than a direct route
9. Can't say NO to a good deal (on anything)
10. Will eat anything sitting out (even if its been sitting out for days at a time)

All I can say is UGH! Really?!

Seriously, what a moron... I don't know why the kid gets under my skin so much, but seriously--UGH!
As if Emily would even want that nasty mop in her eligible bachelor arrangement, even though she liked his bio....yuck!
I don't know about this season, it keeps making me upset and angry! I just feel like Ashley needs a friend (or really a hidden camera) to help her weed out the losers quickly... I mean, COME ON-- guy with the mask (uhhh Jeff is it), guy who is super rude and NOT even funny (William I think), and guy who is promoting his stupid trampoline business and obsessed with Emily (Yeah, nice one Bentley)... okay, Ashypants is a fan of William, but I'm not so forgiving...if you're going to hurt someone's feelings, at least bring your A game and make it funny---JEEZ!
I don't know if I'm going to be able to stomach this whole season of the bachelorette, especially with all those skinny jeans--UGH! Chris Harrison, I don't think it is the most dramatic rose ceremony!!

Okay, so I'm a little behind on updating the ol' blog, but who isn't, right?! We have been keeping pretty busy these past couple of months and I have just been slacking on the blog-o-sphere! So here's my lame attempt at catching up:

1. Bertram Van Munster: I am completely obsessed with The Amazing Race, and every episode we watch I see the co-creator's name and it cracks me up. There really is no reason to why it strikes me as so hilarious but I comment on it every time and refer to Bertram sometimes as a close, personal friend-- I'm sure we would be BFFs if he only really knew me! Anyway, it was the finale last night, and I really wanted the father/daughter team or Zev/Justin to win but I can never guess correctly what the outcome is with these cursed reality tv shows-- so yay for you sister team (Jen and Kisha)!

2. Keith Urban: Can you even believe we had the chance to see Keith Urban AGAIN!! Seriously, love him! We had a surprise trip for favorite sissy (Krista) to come and see him at Tiger Jam, and yes, Tiger Woods did make an appearance if you were wondering. We also got to see self proclaimed president of the DB club, John Mayer...which was quite entertaining! We spent the weekend having fun sister style (you know, pedicures/eating out/watching movies/pillow fight... )

3. During spring break, I was able to go to Idaho for a week and spend some time chillaxin (I'm expanding my vocabulary with urban dictionary) with the O'Dells. We had a good time, going to the movies, playing games, playing outside, visiting the zoo, watching Nick play soccer, jumping on the trampoline, eating out, and coloring Easter eggs! The time went by so fast, I wish I could have stayed longer, but hopefully next time they can come to Vegas where it is ALOT warmer!!

apparently, I only took pictures of the Easter Egg Hunt-- but we had so many other good times!!

4. Brian & Molly came to visit!! We got to spend a little quality time with the Andrew boys & girls for their spring break. We had a great time seeing some Vegas attractions (hoover dam, shark reef, pinball hall of fame, In-N-Out burger, buffet, movies, the pool)! It was so fun spending time them.

I think Bailee is all set for her next trip! She was practicing walking in heels, and by the end of her visit, I think she had it down, plus she knows how to accessorize already!!

5. Celine Dion

OH MY! For Hailyn's (our new bestie) birthday, she let us go with her to see the one and only CELINE DION!! She was A-M-A-Z-I-N-G!! Seriously, we loved every second of the show. I had seen her before but she has an all new show and it was fantastic. So glad we have a new best friend to celebrate!!

Okay, well this is getting way too long and I'm having a hard time remembering when/what we were doing in the last couple of months...Man, is it me or does it seem like we have seen alot of shows in the last little while? Well, what do you expect when people come to visit-- we want them to be entertained in Sin City!

We had the chance to go and see this dynamic duo, and I have to tell you, it was FANTASTIC! Thank you Mom & Dad for letting us experience a little piece of entertainment Osmond style! The show was great!
I had no idea Marie was so funny and really out shines Donny, in my opinion. That lady can sing :)
I was afraid they would sing all songs from the 70s and I wouldn't know any of them, but they did alot of cover songs and my favorite, ala Donny Osmond, Soldier Of Love!

Seriously, Ashley and I (aside from a few small children) were probably the youngest people in there, but we LOVED it! I highly recommend checking it out if you happen to find yourself in Sin City and have a couple hours to spare. Plus, its in The Flamingo showroom, so you get to feel close and interactive with the performers :)

They both looked good and couldn't stop talking about their time on Dancing With The Stars... and I must say they still got the moves :)

Although, I could have done without all the panting from Donny...

Sweet Baby Cheeks!

You knew it was jut a matter of time before I started spouting my dearest thoughts of this gem of a reality show.... So, a couple of thoughts as this season starts. My favorite little guy, didn't even make it to the TOP 24 and I was heart-broken... his real name is Jacee, but I lovingly refer to him as 'baby cheeks' because, obviously, he has those adorable cheeks I just want to pinch right off his little face (is this gettin awkward to read about??) Anyway, how could the judges overlook this talented little guy... it makes me rethink their ability to judge correctly (am I missing Simon, a little??) Plus, as if sweet Baby Cheeks didn't bring enough to the singing sensation we call American Idol, he has the a matching Beiber do (and we all know kids around the world are heating up.... get it= beiber fever)

Despite my being heartbroken over Baby Cheeks, I think this will probably be a pretty entertaining season, if only for the crazy faces Steven Tyler makes at the contestants!

So I am a devoted OPRAH watcher, especially since this is the last season, and today's show I found particularly interesting! It was the vegan challenge... (I know your thinking this is ridiculous, but don't delete this link just yet)

the whole Harpo staff went on a week long (7 long days) vegan diet. As I watched the show and the listened to the stories of changing your diet, I wondered if I could it and how it would really affect me. Not that I would completely become vegan after 7 days, because lets face it, I could use some help in the healthy eating department and I don't think I could completely cut out meat, but being more conscious about what I eat. So I'm thinking I might try the 7 day challenge and see how it goes...

I think I'll mostly struggle with dairy products since I put cheese on about everything and eat yogurt every morning. So, I'm going to think about it a few more days before I fully commit, but I think as soon as our milk expires (I hate wasting food, and I just filled the fridge with a few gems) I'll take on this challenge myself.... who is with me?

It's the ROYAL ENGAGEMENT!

While the entire country of England (and the entire world it seems) is basking in the happiness for Prince William and Kate Middleton aka "Modern Day Cinderella" I'm in mourning. My dreams have been dashed. There is a small (okay tiny really....barely recognizable) thought in the back of mind that it would be me that becomes a Princess. (Princess Ashley has a nice ring to it, wouldn't you agree???)

And to think I went all the way to England right after I graduated highschool in hopes to actually meet the Prince (oh I also hoped to meet Harry Potter.....I had BIG plans for that trip!) I just knew the moment we (the prince not Harry Potter) ever met face-to-face, we would lock eyes and he would forever be lost in mine.

*Sigh*

To be honest, I would have settled for Prince Harry (again, not Harry Potter....the younger prince of England...in case you were confused) Though he seems more of a "partier" type but beggars can't be choosers, am I right?! :)

For the past couple of years we had the chance to go back home to Idaho to visit for Halloween. This year was no exception, and all the family (minus Brian) came home to greet us and celebrate. So we got to hang out with family and get a new family picture...

So, I read about this cake on someone else's blog and thought it was awesome, so I thought I would take a crack at it. Okay... so I'm not a professional baker (by any means) but it turned out okay. So here are some things I recently learned by making this cake...

1. wow! its really tall so make sure your knife it long enough

2. uhhh, it takes forever to make

3. make sure you mix the coloring evenly so it turns the right color

4. uhhh, you must use butter, margarine will NOT substitute

5. well, lining up the sections "good enough", doesn't make the cake straight

6. did I mention it takes FOREVER

7. the cake weighs about 10 lbs so make sure the plate you put it on isn't paper

8. woah! that uses ALOT of eggs (well, egg whites)

9. all the dishes make a HUGE mess in the kitchen

10. It takes forever to finish

There was a slight problem in the finshing of the cake as I was out of butter, so I used margarine...NOT a good idea... the frosting didn't really work, but it tasted okay as it was dripping down the sides!

Last weekend (August 28) we had the chance to see Michael Buble! Love, Love, Love that boy :)
Ashley was joking around telling people she had a blind date with Michael and ticketmaster set it up (which is actually true). Yeah, I thought it was pretty clever until my mom called and wanted to know how her date went...uhhh, well the concert was great, her date (I'm assuming) is awesome also, but as we didn't get to go back stage to meet and greet him they probably won't be seeing each other any time soon, plus he is engaged, but whatever... nothing is written in stone :)

We had a good time, we took a quick picture before we left so we could document the occasion (like every concert we've been to) and then accidentally left the camera sitting on the counter... so no live pics!

Family Reunion

Its that time of year when everyone gets together and plays tribute to old times and each other! We were able to travel back to Orderville to hang out for a few days with the Sorensen's. It was loads of fun, even though we were missing quite a few family members :)
We missed the fabulous talent show the night before, we thought is was on Saturday (sorry we missed it, we heard the magicians were a BIG hit)! Anyway, after breakfast on Saturday we were able play a quick 9 holes... where my dad was dispensing free golf tips to any passerby (sorry to the nice Italian fellas who were the victims more than once to his "advice"), and then were able to participate in The Amazing Race!
It was awesome (good job planning Aunt Colleen & helpers)! We traveled all around the pond and Orderville completing the race. We recruited Heather for our team, and I'm not gonna lie, she was definitely the MVP (I've never seen anyone hike to the "V" that quickly)!
We started out having to weed Uncle Dellas' garden for 20 minutes.... hmmm, I wonder who thought of that?
Then had to name some pictured ancestors.... this was a group effort, thanks Aunt Jacque!
Up to the tree house to put together a 100 piece puzzle, you think it was easy, but I haven't done a puzzle since 1995! jeez!
Hiked up to the Indian burial grounds to find an arrowhead.... yeah, that was a search... good eye to Heather for finding one that wasn't even "planted" there for us!
Hiked up to the "V"... oh man, want to see if you're out of shape--- yes, that was confirmed in about 2 min!
Out to the KOA to jump in the pool and "unlock" another clue
Over to the cemetery to rub a few headstones.... when we finally found the right ones!
Then back to the pond to check in with Phil...uhh, Uncle Dellas... jeez, I thought we would never make it!!
We came in 2nd, so congrats to Aunt Liz and DeAnna for taking the crown!

This picture was after we took a shower and relaxed a little... we were a mess when we checked in! Fortunately, no one had a camera!

Summer Time

So we've had a fairly busy summer with traveling and escaping the HEAT! I was lucky enough to get to leave for a couple weeks to visit family and have some fun.... I don't have all the pictures collected yet, but I'm going to post a few!

Spent a quick weekend in Kimberly helping to organize all the "stuff" in the house and fix things up!

While visiting Krista, got to attend the Lady Antebellum concert at the Idaho Center....

Rock Show

So, by now I'm sure everyone has either played or watched Rock Band! I had the opportunity to witness a flawless performance from the most awesome little rockers while visiting The O'Dells! Alex was awesome on lead vocals while Ryan (and Shawn) provided the rocking music on guitar! It was so much fun watching and playing.... I'm not even kidding watch for these two little rockers in years to come on tour to you!!

Bowling Time . . .

Had a chance to have some fun in Nampa the last few days! Hanging out with Ryan, Alex, Nickers, and AJ is the best. We were able to take in a movie and hit the bowling lanes so far. Keeping up with the O'Dell boys is a full time job, but I love it. The boys say the funniest/cutest things and Nick always keeps everyone well informed of what is going on. We were able to go to the Northern Lights Cinema Grill to watch The Karate Kid and enjoyed having lunch there while we watched the movie. It was pretty fun and I think the boys even liked the pizza (big accomplishment)!

I came back to Idaho for a few weeks of vacation before school starts again. I just love visiting Kimberly and small towns in general, it is seriously the best! Everyone is so friendly and life seems to go by at a slower pace. I was just looking through some pictures and found this gem.

At Christmas, we had all the family together and captured this one of the siblings-- in birth order, no less. It just reminded me of how much I appreciate my brothers and sisters and how awesome they are! So shout out to them...

Anyway, hopefully I'll capture some moments while visiting Kimberly so everyone will see how fabulous it is and want to come and visit (you know you want to).

A while ago, I must have been watching HSN or QVC late at night (most dangerous time for me) and got the idea that I NEEDED the Yudu machine. It is basically a screen printer to make T-shirts.

Anyway, long story short, it takes a little bit to get used to and get the hang of, but I finally got it down-- somewhat! So, I was so excited to finally use the machine successfully, I thought I would post the results!

Happy 4th of July! Okay so this is a little late, but the sentiment is sincere! We LOVE America :)

We had a quick trip to Idaho to visit family and friends. Attended the Andrew Family Reunion and spent some quality bonding time with the parents. While visiting, we enjoyed the fireworks at CSI, did a little shopping, and visited a few friends. It was a great weekend and a quick shout-out to Allegiant Air for making this trip so affordable (and able to fly right in to Twin Falls Airport).

Okay, so you know how I live in Las Vegas, which is basically saying I live on the sun? Yeah, well, every summer I forget I live on the freaking sun and wonder why it is so blasted HOT! Then I remember, oh yeah, its THE SUN... its super freakin HOT! Actually, if I'm being totally honest it hasn't been as hot this year as in the past, but, not gonna lie, once it hits 95 it all feels super hot. Anyway, it made me start thinking of other summer things and then, of course, I remembered "Summer Nights' and then was distracted for about an hour watching clips of the movie (shout out to youtube) ...seriously, I just love musicals! I wish people would just burst into song more often :)

Anyway, we have had a couple of busy weeks and need to post some photos of what has been keepin' us busy, and I will soon-- pinkie promise. Alot of traveling and visiting family. We got to visit Nampa, Bear Lake, and Lehi. Aside from the a/c breaking in my car (curse you old cars and 6 hour car ride) it was a pretty good time. Our nephews and nieces are doing great and cute as ever and I'm sure are begging their parents to come visit us in Las Vegas and spend some real quality time together :)

Can't wait to be done with summer school and get some space between myself and the sun! But for now, I'll be appreciating all the a/c I can and wishing I had the sort of skin that absorbs the rays and not repels it in bright red patches (curse you pale, sensitive skin). A girl can dream can't she...

Nothing new to post that is too exciting, but school is out for summer, so that is FanTAstiC!

We spent most of memorial day relaxing at home. Not to name names, but some people didn't even get out of their pjs or have a desire to take a shower (wink, wink directed at ashypants) .... We layed out by the pool long enough to get a slight sunburn and let those darling Gilmore girls entertain us while we cleaned (a little) and chillaxed (is that even a real word?). It was awesome just to have a real break from school and work and not have to do anything. Hopefully we can make it through these HOT summer days :) Seriously, turn off the sun for a minute! Jeez!

Because I am so awesome I was able to get us FLOOR tickets (again) but this time RIGHT IN FRONT of Mr. Urban himself....

I'm pretty sure we made eye contact a few times during the show.....he even winked at me! ;)

*side note: I almost caught the guitar pick he threw in the audience but the girl next to me threw her elbow in my face and I decided the pick wasn't worth the bloody nose. I curse that decision now.

Kris Allen opened the show... (so glad my votes weren't wasted on him on American Idol)

Overall the concert was GREAT and I LOVED every minute of it. Well worth the set-back in my bank account....Keith is always worth it!

Just Dance

We had such a blast when the O'Dells visited that I wanted to share a quick video. We got the new game, Just Dance for the wii and Ryan and Alex broke it in for us! They were quite a bit better than us at the game and soon became very competitive! It is alot of fun to play and a good short work out :)

We also got to visit some other nephews and nieces when the O'Dells came. It was a weekend long on driving and short on visiting, but it was super fun! We had the chance to play Just Dance with Zac, Logan, Hayden, Tyler, Emily, and Brad. I still need to get the video from Brad of Ashley and Logan dancing and believe me, you want to see it :)

Seriously, sometimes I love living in Las Vegas! The ACM (Academy of Country Music) awards are in town this weekend so in honor of the event all these country stars are giving free concerts down on Fremont Street. Of course we checked out Danny Gokey, and our personal fav, Lady Antebellum! It was so much fun, aside from being smashed, pushed, run over, poked, and soaked with beer I think everyone had a good time.
Danny Gokey started things out... he sang a few songs from his new album and a few Rascal Flatts songs so everyone could sing along! He did a good job and kept everyone very entertained.... and he is still sporting those trendy glasses :)
Lady Antebellum came on about an hour later and they were awesome! I seriously LOVE them!! I heart Charles Kelly so much, and Ashley is a Dave fan, and I'm pretty sure we would be bff with Hilary, so it works out nicely!! More acts are performing tomorrow night, but I don't know if I can stand being that smooshed (is that how you spell that?) and beer showered. I mean I like Miranda Lambert and Luke Bryan but I have to draw the line at inappropriate groping!

Zac Brown Band

This is long over due but I still wanted to post a few pics from the concert we attended.

The concert was awesome! Zac Brown did a great job, he played for like 4 hours, it was awesome, not to mention we got to be down on the floor so we got in on the action first hand. He played a few songs with his opening bands and brought them back out a few different times. He is so talented, and Plus, Alan (from The Hangover) is apparently in the band (or his twin). He was all over the stage playing different instruments, and LOVED his dance moves.

So this video is a mash up of all the clips that weren't fuzzy or had people randomly screaming ....its about 10 minutes long, so if you don't think you can waste that much of your life...go ahead and skip over the play button.

Due West & good times . . .

So we had a quick run to St. George on Friday to catch Nashville Tribute featuring Due West! It was a good show not counting the freezing cold wind, we had a great time. Bonus, Ashley was able to pick up a copy of their new album (not coming out officially until April 27) and had is specially autographed-- jealous much? After the concert, Uncle Mack let us crash at his house before we rushed home to pack for NYC. He is the best and it was great talking to him, Aunt Tami, and little David.... seriously love you guys! While we were visiting Uncle Mack was giving out some gun safety tips :) I think we may use these photos for the Christmas card....

Okay, new episode! It is a little long, so be prepared...and a shout out to Logan for being the hi-lite of this episode.... if anyone else would like to send us videos to be a part of the show, send 'em in :) I neglected to mention Community as one of my favs for primetime television, so if your interested... check it out!! And, as I reviewed this episode I acknowledge the fact that I watch entirely too much tv.... jeez, anyone want to host an intervention? (ps I love that show too)

Not quite the exciting show we usually give you, but we did have a special guest fill in. We had to eighty-six the segments on reality tv since the special guest has never watched any of the shows we talk about, sorry! Soon we will posting some clips from the Zac Brown concert-- it was super fun and I swear, that guy Allen from The Hangover is in the Zac Brown Band~it was awesome!!
Happy Birthday to Krista, sorry we couldn't be there in person to help you blow out the candles, but you probably will be working so I bet you won't miss us!! As always, please leave a comment or send in suggestions for anything we should discuss!!

I'm sort of going through this phase of loving Jimmy Kimmel right now (also Jimmy Fallon, so it might be an obsession with the name Jimmy). So the other night when he had his after the oscars show, I was dying with his "Handsome Men's Club" bit. Seriously... Okay you guys, this episode is messed up? The audio doesn't always match up with the video and there are some audio problems in general. I didn't have time to sit down and figure everything out before I posted it, so deal with it! Also, I don't know what is with my shirt all bunched up (hello, Ashley could have mentioned it before we did the whole show?)! Another episode of The Kallee and Ashley Show! For some reason I spaz out in the beginning and start rubbing my eye, so I apologize in advance...we were too lazy to redo the show to edit it out..sorry! No movie reviews this week, as we did not see any movies. Hopefully the background isn't so yellow in this episode. We love reading your comments and questions so keep 'em coming :) Also, we will start in on American Idol... you know.... we'll tell you our favorites, not-so favorites, and seriously, how did they make it on the show contestants. Enjoy!!

THE Bounty Hunter, Dog

Have I mention how much I LOVE the show "Dog The Bounty Hunter"? Every. Single. Minute. From Beth and her big hair to starting of the "hunt" with a prayer to the swearing and genious side comments while chasing the "criminals"...I just can't get enough! Seriously, watching this just makes my day better!

One day I hope to meet Dog the Bounty Hunter and his WHOLE family!

Knowing Dog is watching out for us, brings peace to my heart (and a whole lot of giggles).

Actually we just saw Avatar in 3D. Yes I'm pretty sure we were the only ones left on Earth who hadn't seen it yet. Plus it was my first 3D film so I thought I better document it (I'm a first timer!) :)
Movie was long but overall I enjoyed it. Question: Does James Cameron ever do anything simple???
I especially enjoyed the glasses and am a big fam of 3D films now! The new Alice in Wonderland was a preview and it looked awesome in 3D! Big fan!

Ali goes home and Vienna is still in the running? Seriously? With Ali gone, I thought for sure it would be smooth sailing for Tenley...but NO! I'm over the fantasy dates episode already and can't wait for the women tell all! On The Wings of Love, more like On The Verge of the BIGGEST Mistake Ever! Jeez, why do I keep watching this show--- better yet, why do I believe that Jake should listen to me, if he really wants to be happy?

Hope for Haiti

So a while ago (a week or so) we tried to call in and donate money for the Hope for Haiti telethon. Ashley was so hilarious calling in that I wanted to capture it on camera. She was so excited and hopeful to speak with a celebrity. Her dreams were easily dismissed when she had to wait longer than 2 minutes, which she was expecting. So, sadly, Haiti didn't receive our donation due to our impatience and laziness, but we will give them a shout out later.

So... Ashley has been busy posting videos and what not with her new obsession of youtube (I'm trying not to curse the day I showed her how to do that). Anyway, recently I've become OBSESSED with this website woot.com! It has little electronics and gadgets for really cheap... long story, short... I find myself buying things I don't want OR need? I may need an intervention. I recently purchased these oven mitts??

and earlier I purchased a tiny tripod... (seriously who buys this stuff) why, you ask? I have no idea . . . First of all, I hardly ever cook/bake so I don't really need oven mitts but for some reason I couldn't live without them....so while I deal with this temporary insanity, if you have a birthday in the near future be prepared to receive something you never wanted/needed..... First step to recovery is identifying there is a problem, right?

I know, I know, no surprise that it's another video clip. I promise you I don't just sit around and watch youtube videos all day (just at night while I watch all my shows I DVRed...uh hello I have a job during the day!) but I just have to share this clip! I absolutely LOVE Lady Antebellum and they wrote a birthday song for Ellen...so creative!

I suppose my life hasn't been very eventful lately so while I don't have kids to blog about all the funny things they do or say (but I do have adorable nephews and nieces and have some pics and hilarious music videos I hope to post soon of them!) Plus we haven't beent to a concert lately so these youtube clips are all I got...so get off my ever-lovin' back!

Seriously, could life get better than being sung to by KEITH URBAN...I submit that it cannot!!! I LOVE it! Plus I love Ellen too so it's a win-win! Well could be better if it was actually ME sitting where Ellen is sitting for 3 reasons: 1. Keith Urban is actually singing to ME; 2. I am literally inches from Keith Urban (though in all honesty this dream has already come true...see details from our post regarding his concert in Salt Lake); and 3. my dream job is to be a TV host!

So we have been having a blast hanging out with the O'Dell boys (and Krista). We celebrated New Year's Eve by playing games and having fun in Nampa. We stayed up playing Cranium and Band Hero, and then watched the ball drop at midnight! All of the festivities were great, but my favorite was making new music videos to the songs from the soundtrack of Alvin and the Chipmunks! I attached a short clip of my favorite one!!

This is just a short clip, if you can convince Ashley to record the whole song, I encourage you to do so! She was meant to be a performer!!

So... 2009 has come to a close? Where has the time gone? We spent Christmas in Kimberly and now spendin a few days in Nampa with the O'Dells! I had a splendid Christmas and must have been a very good girl, since I received everything I ever wanted (including an ipod touch AND a new laptop)! More to come later, but I just wanted to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!
